Troy, Michigan, USA – June 23, 2006

Mathson Industries, a global minority supplier providing design, engineering and manufacturing of plastics, elastomers, ceramics and metal injection molded components and systems has joined forces with Negri Bossi to develop advanced injection molding machines. Negri Bossi – SACMI Group is a $1.4 billion dollar global supplier of plastic processing equipments. The two companies are working together for the development of plastic, ceramic, metal processing injection molding machines. Currently V270-1450 (300 US Tons 27 OZ) is being developed at Negri Bossi’s Milan, Italy plant. This machine will be installed at Mathson Industries facility in Troy, Michigan, USA in September 2005.

“By combining Negri Bossi’s Advanced Injection molding machine technology and Mathson’s plastics, metal, ceramics injection molding system technology we can better develop cost-effective advanced products for our customers," said Boney Mathew, President & CEO of Mathson Industries. "Mathson will work closely with Negri Bossi to promote the integration of these various materials into advanced injection molding machine which can process all these materials in one machine”. This allows us to eliminate the need of multiple machines for various materials and reduction in capital investment.

The market for sophisticated systems is expanding rapidly and we are challenged by vehicle manufacturers, biomedical manufacturers to incorporate multiple functions, materials and components in their systems. “Mathson’s leadership position in automotive and biomedical systems provides us with the opportunity to collaborate in developing the solutions to meet this challenge", said Liam Burns, General Manager of Negri Bossi.
